La Haule Manor

The rooms at the front have stunning views, and the staff were pleasant, though they seemed overworked. We stayed for a week in late september 25, and I wasn’t impressed. The hotel felt like faded grandeur and certainly didn’t meet a 5 star standard. The many reviews praising it surprised me, as they don’t reflect what I experienced. It felt more like a pleasant guesthouse than a 5 star hotel. If you’re looking for 5 star, maybe check out Portobay Hotels, Portugal. I don’t want to go into more detail.

The staff were really friendly and attentive, and the pool looked private and well kept. Our room was huge and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a part of the hotel where there didn’t seem to be a lift for luggage, at least as far as I could tell. There’s no air conditioning for hot evenings, though the windows open wide.

The location is amazing, and I’ve stayed at this hotel many times. This time, though, I was sad to find the suite settee tired and uncomfortable, with dirty arms hidden by a cheap throw. The balcony furniture was cheap plastic too. At 273 pounds a night, I expected more. Breakfast was dry and overcooked, with hard eggs.

The immaculate cleanliness and personal touches made La Haule Manor stand out. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly and made sure everything went smoothly. We were impressed by the attentive service and luxurious amenities. Our elegantly decorated room, room 15, had breathtaking views, plush bedding, and great facilities, including “The Slip,” which was both convenient and comfortable.
