The food was the one part that could be improved for vegetarians. There was just one vegetarian evening meal, wild mushroom risotto, and it never changed. The specials each night included soup, a meat main and a dessert as alternatives to the main menu. We'd unfortunately need to eat elsewhere sometimes, but this wouldn't stop me returning after such a wonderful stay. Our superior double was a good size, very clean, and came with slippers and a terry gown. We had a full view of the bay and beach from the balcony. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including a full vegetarian option. Staff were friendly, helpful, professional and hard-working. There are 80 private steps down to the beach, or you can reach it from the front of the hotel with a short walk along the main road.

The views from the terrace and breakfast room are spectacular, and the staff are polite and helpful. The rooms were pleasant, though a bit dated. There's a lot of potential here, but a few problems got in the way. The room was baking hot when temperatures went above 23 degrees, especially on the sunny side, and there was only a small fan. Full-size fans are the minimum needed, though air conditioning would be better for high summer. We also noticed a strong drain smell near the bar. On our first evening, we left the bathroom window open because of the heat and woke up to an infestation of drain flies. The plumbing needs attention. Breakfast was disappointing for the price. The pancakes were dry, doughy supermarket toaster ones. The poached eggs were overdone on the first day and barely cooked, translucent even, on the second. It's a shame because the location is fantastic and the staff do their best. I doubt I'd return without proper refurbishment investment and a better breakfast.

The menu was simple and fresh, and Vanessa, Mary & Noemi made my Sunday feel so special. This was my first time discovering this beautiful, carefully looked-after hotel. The atmosphere and energy are wonderful, with attentive, kind staff who are always smiling, and the view is breathtaking. It really feels like a little piece of paradise in Jersey's most beautiful bay. I'll come back whenever I can, and highly recommend a visit. It amazed me.

We came for a short break with six friends, and when we had trouble finding a taxi to the airport on our last day, the manager made sure we got a lift. He made two trips so we could get there on time. The staff and management had been extremely helpful and friendly from the start. The hotel was clean, and the food and location were amazing. Can't rate it any higher. Highly recommend.

I nearly marked this place down unfairly because of the weather. The views across the bay are fantastic, and it's a beautiful spot with only a short stroll to the beach.
