Penty-Lowarth was spotlessly clean, and we loved its quiet setting with easy access to nearby towns and beaches. It’s dog friendly, with a large dog bed provided as one of several nice touches. We’ll definitely book again. - Olive

Dave and Caroline were lovely, welcoming owners and always on hand. Their cottage is in a peaceful part of Cornwall, with plenty of nice places nearby, many of them dog friendly. We visited St Just in Roseland, which was peaceful, and nearby Truro, with its very impressive cathedral, as well as several beaches. The weather wasn’t great, but we still managed to do everything we wanted.

The location made it easy to explore both Cornwall’s north and south coasts, and it was lovely to return to a peaceful cottage after a busy day out. Inside, it was comfortable and clean, with a cosy living room and log burner for winter, plus gorgeous gardens to enjoy on a summer evening. We arrived after getting caught in a thunderstorm in Bude and found thoughtful gifts for a cup of tea and biscuits. Caroline and David were friendly, helpful, and full of local knowledge. We felt comfortable from the start. We’ve already recommended the cottage to family and friends and are thinking about coming back. Thanks, Caroline and David, for a perfect holiday cottage.

We stayed in spring and the secluded gardens were already stunning, with plants all around just coming to life. I’d love to see them in midsummer. The cottage has everything you need, and the wood burner is a real bonus. It’s also a great base for Cornwall, with Newquay only 15 minutes away. David and Caroline greeted us when we arrived and were perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They own a VW camper, so they’ve got to be cool. I’d recommend this lovely little place for a brilliant holiday.

Caroline and Dave were accommodating even before we arrived, checking we were okay with the storm happening in early November. There was a lovely welcome pack of groceries and firewood waiting for us. You can tell the cottage has had real love and joy put into it, from the ceramic paintings to the colour scheme. Penty-Lowarth is homely, and the Airbnb photos don’t do it justice. It’s in a remote spot, but a short drive from lovely parts of Cornwall, including Newquay, Eden Project, and St Columbs. We loved every moment and would say, go ahead and book.
