The Grove Hotel

A last-minute treat at The Grove turned out to be a lovely stay. The room was nice, though I wasn't sure about the green emergency lighting. Mike, Jeff, and Carol were especially helpful, as were all the staff. Breakfast was really good, with a great choice. We’ll definitely return.

We came back after staying here around the same time last year, originally choosing it because it welcomes dogs. This time there was a much more positive feel as soon as we walked in. Staff told us on Sunday that it had only recently come under new management, and the difference showed. Everyone was attentive and seemed pleased to see us. Our room was clean, warm, and just right for a weekend of walks with the dog. I’d recommend it for a quick weekend break, and we’ll definitely be back.

After a four-hour walk on the St David’s loop, I was starving and dehydrated, so I stopped at the Grove for food and a much-needed drink. I’d picked my route too quickly and ended up walking much farther than expected. The cosy atmosphere and fantastic service were just what I needed, and the food hit the spot. Try the fried cauliflower with peri peri. Craig's kindness and attentiveness really made the experience for me. I was more than pleased!

Had a great lunch, and the garden and service were great too. The new managers are doing a brilliant job and have made a real difference to the hotel. It’s always been a wonderful place, and I’m really impressed by what’s been done. Well done to all the staff involved!
