The room was cosy with a great view, and even though Anchorage Guest House is right in the heart of St Ives, we didn't hear any noise. The bathroom was spotless and huge, and the space had been used really well. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Checking in was especially easy for me as an introvert: we could go straight inside and collect the key with a code. The tea, coffee, milk and high quality treats were a nice extra. We had no complaints and would recommend staying here.

Breakfast was lovely, and my room was immaculate. The staff were lovely too. The Anchorage sits just a stone's throw from the old town, and being raised up from the road meant we didn't get road noise. A really great place to stay.

St Ives parking is limited, so I'd suggest using the Park and Ride and taking the bus into town. We found our weekend here very comfortable, with a tasty cooked breakfast and a good choice of cereal and fruit. The beach, shops and restaurants are only a few steps away.

Jackie, who cooked and served breakfast, made me feel at home from the first moment we spoke. Breakfast was great every day, and the view from my top floor room was stunning. The whole stay felt like a fairytale, with a little piece of history in it. I won't forget it and hope I can return one day. Perfection!

We had room 2 in August 2016 and it was lovely. The staff were amazing, breakfast was great, and the sea was only two minutes away. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby too. I'd definitely go back x
