Breakfast was included, and we'd expected a decent buffet. Instead, the only free choices were cereal and croissants, with everything else costing extra. The eggs were fantastic on the first morning but tasted terrible the next day. None of the rooms had balconies, either. We'd booked our holiday at the Harbour about six months ahead and asked for a cot, mentioning that it was our baby's first birthday. It hadn't been set up when we arrived. I also tried calling reception to ask for a fan in the summer, but nobody answered. Getting to our room from reception was a real hassle. With a baby, pushchair, and lots of luggage, we had nowhere to leave the pushchair. Each time we went out, we had to carry it and our bags all the way to and from the room, and no one offered help. The stay wasn't worth what we paid.

The restaurant has an amazing view, and the food was superb. We also liked the dining room, lounge and bar, plus the garden seating and outdoor spaces. Our room had a nice view, too. A friendly hotel with a great vibe and excellent service, and it's easy to get to the beach, station, and St Ives.

We had a really relaxed, enjoyable wedding day and evening because the bridal party were so well looked after that morning. The reception meal was beautifully presented and delicious, and they catered very well for my dairy intolerance. The whole team worked hard to keep the event running smoothly and were incredibly helpful, even with my silliest requests. I wish I'd got the names of the staff who helped us, but everyone was a credit to the hotel and deserves recognition. I was amazed by the hotel and its staff, so I had to write a review after attending a wedding there yesterday. It's a beautiful location, and I'd gladly recommend it, especially for events.

My first impression was lovely. I was staying as a journalist writing a piece about Christmas in a Hotel for 2026, and receptionist Sophie let me choose between three rooms. Events manager Nicole arranged dinner for my son and me outside the usual hours and was attentive each night. I also appreciated Daniel, the breakfast manager. The Hotel was spotless and comfortable, with amazing food and a great spa. Then my last day was awful. I caught flu from a guest who was sick around the Hotel and asked if I could have an extra hour to check out. At 12.10, a woman with a wet-look blonde perm pounded on the door and spoke to me like I was in prison, saying I was late and had to get out immediately. I was so stressed that I broke my necklace and had to look for the beads. About ten minutes later she burst in, saw my handbag contents on the bed, yelled, “You’ve trashed the room,” and slammed the door as she left. My son was shaken and incredibly angry. That encounter ruined the good experience we'd had. I won't return, or include the Hotel in my feature, and I won't come back in the summer as I had planned. It's a shame, but being spoken to so nastily while you're relaxed is disgusting. I hope the owners see this. Sophie, Nicole, and Daniel put so much effort into making guests happy, and this individual's behaviour undid that hard work.

We booked a table for a special midweek dinner, and the waiter was great, seating us at a lovely table overlooking the beach. The mussels were lovely, though the menu said they came with “warm crusty bread.” I had to ask for it and was given a roll. Our drinks only arrived just after the starter, so it would've been nice to have them while looking through the menu and enjoying the view. I'd recommend the place, 4/5.
