Olivers Lodge Hotel

The main building is lovely, especially the breakfast area, and the staff were friendly. My room was warm and comfortable enough, though a bit rough around the edges. The shower wasn’t great and there was some mould and dirt in the bathroom, but nothing major, and I wasn’t concerned about hygiene. Breakfast was good quality, though there wasn’t much for vegetarians. The coffee was average.

The location made it easy to walk to pubs and restaurants in town, and there was plenty of parking. My room was a decent size, though the mattress wasn’t especially comfortable. The bathroom was bright and clean, and breakfast was brought to my room. It was really good quality, if probably more food than I needed. Staff were polite and welcoming, and I didn’t hear noise from other guests. Good value for money.

We had lovely warm rooms, and the breakfast was very good. My husband, son and daughter-in-law all said the coffee was lovely. We hope to come back next September.

The bed was comfortable, and there was tea and coffee in the room. The gentleman on reception was very polite, and the young woman at breakfast was helpful with the coffee and toast. It’s a tired place but adequate, with only a continental breakfast. The room was very warm, and with the window open the A1096 behind the property was a bit noisy.
