The house is magnificent, with exquisite attention to detail. We could have spent hours looking through the rooms, full of decor including many pieces from the Russian orthodox Church. We loved the garden window box, furnishings and splendour, and the chapel in the garden was peaceful and beautiful. I wish every home had a Victorian walled garden and larder like this one. My friend and I came for the Victorian tour and afternoon tea. There was plenty of road parking and parking at the property. We were given a time slot, then Paul gave us a fabulous tour. By the fire, we had delicious tea, sandwiches, scones and cake. It was such a lovely way to spend time with a dear friend and step back in time. Thanks, Paul, for making it so enjoyable.

The house is a dream for photography lovers. Every room feels like a work of art with its own atmosphere, and the whole place could double as a photo studio. It could easily be a museum. The garden is spacious and lovely for a peaceful stroll or a quiet moment. Food was delicious, beautifully presented and made with care by the kind staff. The Victorian style, antiques and character make every room feel timeless, as if you’ve stepped into history. Everything seems thoughtfully arranged. It’s in a quiet spot, about a 10-minute walk from the high street with restaurants, pubs and shops, so it suited a relaxing weekend. The owners and staff made our stay special with genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely return again and again. Enjoy the city and beach, this place has it all!

The fried breakfast was divine, and Paul was so welcoming and helpful. My room, the old nursery, was gorgeous, with fascinating things everywhere, a really comfortable bed and a clean, tidy bathroom. You can feel how much love has gone into this place, and I felt so peaceful there. The garden is a little slice of heaven, and there's so much to look at throughout the house. I could spend hours exploring it all. What a magical place, I'm already wondering when I can come back. Thank you, I can't wait to return. Claire

The Victorian decor is exactly why we chose to stay, and we loved the place. It's absolutely beautiful, especially if you're into quaint things. A few ideas for improving it, not a moan: a bathroom bin would be useful, since the wicker one is in the main bedroom. There are lots of cabinets, but they're full of blankets and other things, so there's hardly anywhere to put clothes. I like taking dresses on holiday and there was very little hanging space. People don't want to keep everything in their suitcases. I'd give it four stars plus.

I came looking for a quiet break, and St. Leonard’s delivered. The garden was beautiful to sit in, the hosts were a lovely and accommodating couple, and breakfast was delicious. This old Victorian townhouse is so well appointed, with beautiful fixtures and furnishings throughout. It was a unique and incredible experience, a perfect getaway, and I hope to return soon. The train station is a short 10-15 minute walk away. I'd highly recommend it to anyone after a one-of-a-kind stay.
