The Eaton Oak

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, and Matt made sure we were well looked after each morning. Thanks to Tom as well. Our room was very clean and the towels were changed daily. Even though it’s next to a busy main road, we didn’t notice traffic noise. The Super King bed had loads of room for someone over six feet, and the over-bath shower was easy to use. We booked three nights midweek, arrived in the morning, registered our car, and went to see friends. When we came back that evening, Laura greeted us cheerfully and kindly, showed us around the room and facilities, and Fern helped explain everything too. We had a lovely stay and will be back.

We went back to The Eaton Oak in St Neots for a meal on New Year's Day after popping in a few days earlier to ask about holiday opening hours. The team had explained the hours and dog-friendly areas, and even offered Merlin fresh water and biscuits, which made us feel so welcome. On our return, everyone was just as attentive to him, so we could relax with him there. The food was delicious and filling, especially the onion rings, which were some of the best we’ve had. It’s a friendly place with a great atmosphere, and staff who clearly care about their guests, dogs included. We’ll definitely return.

The adjoining pub served very good food, with plenty to choose from. Their homemade Chicken Kiev was excellent, and breakfast was freshly made, tasty, and had a good selection. The staff were friendly too. I stayed one night for business and found the room clean, spacious, and well equipped, including a bath and shower, tea and coffee, a decent TV, and usable internet. There was a little road noise, though no more than you’d get in an average house, and it wasn’t from the A1. The pub is in a great spot just off the A1, and the modern rooms make it a fantastic place to stay. I highly recommend it and would use it again when I’m in the area.

Laura and Mia were so friendly, helpful, and efficient. Laura looked after our table most of the time and made the visit feel really lovely. Honestly, I’d return for the service alone, and the food was delicious too. Thanks to them and everyone at The Eaton Oak!
