The Pandora Hotel

The garden has lots of tucked-away spots to sit, including a swing with a lovely sunset view. We had delicious food at both breakfast and dinner, with plenty to choose from. I spent five nights at the Pandora Hotel in a top-floor room overlooking the sea. Everyone on staff was welcoming and did their best to make the stay relaxing and easy. I’d happily come back.

Breakfast was included, with a big range of tasty options, and the bed was soft and comfortable. Getting here from the airport by public bus was easy; they gave clear directions that helped us avoid a climb up lots of steps. My room faced trees rather than the sea, and the rooms feel quite old. There’s no air conditioning, though the pleasant weather meant we could leave the windows open. I can imagine that being annoying in summer.

The staff in the dining room were friendly and attentive, and made my daughter feel especially welcome. We had a varied menu to choose from, including good vegetarian options, and the kitchen’s skill really came through in the food. It was nicely presented and tasted even better, all in a modern, refurbished setting. We’ll be back.

The garden is a nice place to linger, and the area is peaceful. The harbour and bus terminal are only a five-minute walk away. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and my room was nicely furnished with a new bathroom. I felt very comfortable during my week there.
