This is a solid station, with plenty of refuse disposal facilities and easy to access bodily excretion depositories, things that can be hard to find at train stations. I won’t take sides on whether the Eastside or Westside is best, as that could upset the locals. The whole station seemed clean, tidy, and in good working order.
A clean, well-managed train station, and cheap parking for the whole day. Get there early if you want a space. It’s also an easy way to get into London.
Staines is a handy rail link for the town and nearby areas, with connections to London and elsewhere in Surrey. Its location works well for commuters and people exploring the region. The station is fairly small, so it’s easy to find your way around, even if you don’t know the area. It has the basic facilities you need, including ticket counters, waiting areas, and platform access. It may not be as grand or extensive as a city station, but it does its job as a gateway to other places. Check the train times ahead and get familiar with the layout for a smoother trip.
I bought tickets at Staines train station today and David served me. He was polite and knowledgeable. I got a family and friends railcard, and it was nice being able to speak to someone at the ticket office. Thanks.
Good rail links with Great South Western and London, and most importantly it’s just a short shuttle bus ride from the country’s thrill capital, THORPE park.
