This is our second stay on the campsite. The facilities are great, with a nice bar and a lovely shower. Thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely place and rooms. We were in the room above the bar, so I can’t speak for the others. I hadn’t realised there was a public bar, and late at night there was loud noise and doors banging from a group from the caravan park next door. That meant a lack of sleep, so we’re leaving early. It’s definitely not the owners’ fault, and we’ll return to take up their offer of a free night.

The food was tough and tasteless, and the quality just wasn't there. The salad seemed to come straight from a bag, while the burger looked and tasted like a frozen one from a box. The bar staff's service was lacking too, and my pint of coke was shockingly flat and room temperature, poured from a bottle. To be clear, I'm reviewing The York House Hotel Restaurant and Bar, not the caravan park. I wouldn't go back for a meal or even a drink, and sadly, I can't recommend it to anyone.

The proprietors were incredibly helpful and made me feel special. The hotel was quiet and colorful, and everyone made me feel so welcome. I'd definitely stay again, and for longer, if I come back to the area.

Such a warm welcome, and the place was really clean. The breakfasts were to die for, and the food was amazing. A hidden jewel that deserves more than five stars!
