After exploring Stirling castle, we found this cosy pub a great place to get a meal. The Cullen skink and Scottish stovies both tasted homemade and were good.

While visiting from TEXAS, my wife and I had a great time at Nicky-Tams. We met some nice locals, and the young lady singing added a nice touch. The local boys tempted me with tequila, and I was more than happy to oblige. 08/19/2025

We were turned away from two other pub/restaurants, one because my son wasn't 18, and the other because they only allowed one dog. Nicky-Tams welcomed us, and Stirling and Nicky-Tams won us over. The staff were friendly, especially the young woman who was on at the bar and served our food. It's a quirky little place, dog friendly, with lovely food and a treat jar for the doggies. We recommend the steak n ale pie, chicken burger and chicken n mushroom 🥧. We also had a cheeky little bacardi. Thank you 🏴

We tried the Scottish stack and Scottish loaded fries, and both were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it's a fantastic place to eat and drink. It's a local business that does what it does well. If you want Scottish food in a Scottish pub, go here. If you prefer the same boring chain gastropub in every town, go to Wetherspoons. I'll be back next time I'm anywhere near sterling.

The haggis starter was seriously delicious, and the food, beers and friendly service made for a great visit. A must for me. I'll return.
