Tigh Na Mara Hotel

The restaurant had plenty of space between tables, and the dog friendly area was just as nice as the rest of it. We brought our standard and miniature poodles, who got some roast beef and clearly recommend the place too. We all agreed it was the best meal we’d had in a long time. The staff were lovely and attentive in just the right way. The ambience was perfect, and I’ll definitely be back. My only suggestion is offering half portions, as my nearly 90-year-old mother struggled with the very generous servings. We didn’t stay at the hotel, just came to Tigh na Mara for dinner.

We chose the early bird menu since we like eating early, and were happy with the options. There’s a good selection of food, and the staff are warm and welcoming. We came twice while staying in the area. Come hungry!

The staff were wonderful and really friendly, and it’s dog friendly, which made my boys, my chihuahua and pug, very happy. My lasagne was utterly delicious, and my husband and son both loved their macaroni cheese. The portions are very generous. I’ve already booked another visit and highly recommend it.

We sat out in the beer garden, which was a lovely sun trap, and had some lunch and a couple of drinks. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was lovely. We’d just had a nice walk along beautiful Sandhead beach. Highly recommend this place, and there’s also takeaway and delivery if you’re staying nearby. 10 out of 10!
