The dining room was barely lit and had mold and spiderwebs, and the food and room service were both awful. The hotel houses asylum-seeking families, and I felt the management treated people like slaves. They receive millions of pounds to accommodate asylum seekers, yet what they offer is the worst of the worst. The shittiest hotel in the UK.

They say it’s being refurbished, but we all know why it’s really closed to the public. We’re not stupid.

The staff seemed friendly enough, and breakfast was OK. Dinner was average and reasonably priced, though I thought there was mold on the garnish at the side of my plate. The room itself was nice, but the plinth under the shower was missing. At night, people kept coming and going or smoking outside the door, and because the hotel is arranged around that entrance and the car park, it must affect a lot of rooms. The large bed was two singles strapped together, so I ended up in the gap, and the pillows were hard. I wouldn't return.

Skip breakfast and walk five minutes around the corner for fast food. The bacon was undercooked, grease was dripping off the eggs, and the milk had been left out in the sun. I wouldn't recommend it at all. The room looked nice but wasn't very clean, and the two mattresses pushed together made a horrible, uncomfortable bed. The shower room was small and hadn't been cleaned. I nearly slipped.

I've been staying here for work about two days a week for the last six months. The staff are very helpful and do what they can for you, and the hotel is generally at a really good standard. The refurbished rooms are good, but the ones still waiting for work definitely need it. Breakfast is fine, and the restaurant meals are decent.
