The only snag was getting back into the house late at night after watching Shakespeare. The front door had been latched shut by the other room’s guest, so we rang the owner, who was out of town, and they talked us through how to get in. It was a bit scary at first, thinking we might be locked out all night, but it was resolved nicely, and the owners were really helpful and friendly. The hosts were very welcoming, and the room was probably the cleanest of our whole trip. Breakfast was a free full English. Nothing especially fancy, but it was lovely having it freshly made by the resident cook. Great experience all around.

Diana even offered to take my husband to the right parking place, and she and James were truly hospitable throughout. Their care showed in all the details, and it was really good value for money. This was the first night of our roadtrip, and the room was very well maintained. The dining room was nicely set up, while the shared kitchen was clean and fully equipped, with tea, coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was good and hearty.

The breakfast was tasty and hot, a great start to the day. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the town is within walking distance. Really good guest house with very friendly hosts. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.
