The grounds were beautiful, full of greenery and flowers, and we enjoyed a little walk outside afterwards. My friend and I visited for a 'Doggy Afternoon Tea' and were delighted. There was a good sized portion, delicious sandwich fillings and a homemade sausage roll, a nice balance since afternoon teas often have too many sweet things. The desserts were all lovely and varied: a jam and cream scone, victoria sponge cake, lemon posset and mini caramel / chocolate cake. The dogs had chopped sausage at a perfect temperature for our impatient retrievers, a puppicinno whipped cream cup, dog biscuits and a mini homemade pupcake. All three staff members were friendly and welcoming: the young lady at reception who took us to our table, the red-haired young lady who looked after us and the dogs throughout, and the general manager. I'm heavily pregnant, and they made a real effort to keep us comfortable, checking in throughout the visit. I really enjoyed it and will absolutely return. Thanks to everyone at The Stratford Hotel and Golf club!

We had a lovely weekend here to celebrate my friend’s 40th birthday. There were four of us, and our four-bedroom room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel and restaurant staff were very kind, polite and helpful, with Mr Snehal Lackani in charge. We even got complimentary drinks for the celebration. The hotel and its staff made our girls’ weekend feel really special, and we’ll remember the positive vibe for a long time. I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you!

We booked a 2 day New Year break because the hotel looked good and welcomed dogs. There were very few guests, so we could enjoy the very good facilities and friendly staff. The menu was limited because of the small numbers, but the staff were very helpful. We were the only guests on the second night, and Ahmed couldn't have been more helpful or obliging as our "butler". The hotel has such good facilities and staff that it should be busier.

Kiera handled the booking and organisation really well beforehand, and Snehal and Luke made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I booked a conference here for 20 guests over 2 days. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone felt welcome in the relaxed setting.

Chef Kunal is a star. The food was amazing, and you can tell he cooks with care and passion. My parents are hard to impress, but they said it was the best curry they'd had in the UK. Wonderful service!
