Coul House Hotel

We stayed off season and thought it was excellent value for money. Coulhouse is beautiful and luxurious, in a gorgeous setting, especially with the snow, and our room had a lovely view. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Susannah, one of the owners, gave us such a warm welcome that we felt at home from the start. All the staff were exceptional, especially Chris in the bar. There was a great choice at breakfast, and the dinner options were good too, with exceptional food. We'd absolutely stay again. Loved it!

Storm Amy came through during our two-night stay, bringing a power outage and fallen trees. Somehow, breakfast by candlelight and the warm glow of the fire in the entry fireplace made it even more magical. Coul House is a spectacular place, from the plush rooms and elegant dining to the gorgeous gardens, huge trees, and adorable fairy trail. Bella and Molly, the house pups, added to the charm. You can tell the whole staff takes pride in their work, which reflects Stuart and Susannah's care and love for the place. If you make it to Scotland, treat yourself to a night or two here. The spacious, comfortable accommodation was spotlessly clean, and we very much hope to return. Coul House Hotel is a great base for walking and exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. We spent five nights here, and every member of the Staff Team gave first-class service. The kitchen team consistently turned out delicious food, served in the lovely octagonal dining room.

We love collecting stays at luxury hotels, and Coul House is one of our favorites. The house is charming, the gardens are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the dinners are exquisite. The dedicated staff made us feel truly looked after and made every moment special. Highly recommended!
