Railway Apartments

I’ve stayed here several times. It’s right in the town centre, furnished to a high standard, and really comfortable.

We’ve already booked to come back next year after staying in all but one of the Railway Apartments. We brought everyone together here for our wedding, and the accommodation made a lovely private setting. The guests were impressed, and everything was immaculate, with plenty of fans to keep rooms cool during the heatwave. Matt and Carol even blew up all the balloons for us, which we really appreciated. Egypt Mill restaurant was very handy, the food there was fantastic, and parking was never a problem, which was great. The place itself was a lovely spot for a break, though going up and down the stairs wasn’t ideal for us. The shower room floor was slippery, so we asked for a mat and it was delivered straight away.

The owners have thought of so much for families, from well-stocked kitchens and laundry with drying racks to an inflatable bouncy castle for kids, croquet and lots of places to sit outdoors. The design and quality are lovely, and the location is incredible. Railway Apartments is beside Egypt Mill, a nice spot for a drink or dinner, with independent shops, restaurants and a bakery just a minute or two away. There’s a grocery store within walking distance, a bike path outside, and a lovely open common up the hill for walks. Nailsworth is gorgeous, though plenty of people haven’t heard of it. You can get here by train from Birmingham or London, about 90 minutes from Paddington, then it’s a ten-minute taxi ride from the station. We’ve stayed twice, and the owner offers wonderful service. Highly recommend it for a weekend or holiday. I’m ready to move in!
