We started the day with a walk to the beach, only a few hundred metres away, then later visited the lighthouse on St Mary's Island and spotted grey seals resting there. Back at the bay, we had breakfast in the Spanish City, collected some coloured sea glass, and went for another stroll. The room was quiet and comfortable, with everything needed for a good night's sleep. Free street parking right outside was handy. We got a lovely welcome and would happily return to this home from home.

We only turned up on the off chance one evening, stuck needing somewhere for the night with our young child and baby. There wasn't a room ready, but the lovely woman who greeted us asked us to come back in 20 minutes. When we did, she had a room ready where all four of us slept comfortably, at a great price. Her helpful, kind attitude made a stressful situation much easier. We're so grateful she rescued us, and when we plan a proper visit, we'll be back!

The heating worked well, and there was a working TV, though it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Otherwise, this was the worst place I've stayed. The carpet and towels were dirty, there was no soap, and the milk for tea and coffee had expired in September. The mattresses felt like they were from Victorian times. I could hear kids crying and adults screaming while I was trying to sleep and after I woke up. Premier Inn is nicer and £5 cheaper, so that's where I'd go.

We got stuck in the Park View Shopping Centre car park after missing the closing time signs, and none of the out-of-hours emergency numbers answered. With the kids and a bank holiday weekend leaving us needing somewhere to stay, we ended up here. It turned out to be a really nice stay. Thanks!

The rooms are basic, but clean and comfy, and there are plenty of shops nearby plus a bar for a pint. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. The dark-haired lass who showed me to my room would well get it, if you know what I mean 👀👅
