This lovely family-owned hotel has a varied menu, but ask about the restaurant and bar opening and closing times before booking, as they can vary. Pets aren’t allowed inside. There’s plenty of parking at the rear with CCTV. Local shops are a few minutes away, and Berkeley Castle is within walking distance. Slimbridge is a short drive.

A family meal for seven, including three coeliacs, can be tricky, but we feel safe eating here and today was no exception. We were looked after so well, and the chef was wonderful 😊 Bravo 👏 I highly recommend it and will add it to the Coeliac UK app so other coeliacs know they’ll be cared for x

We had Sunday lunch from the carvery as a group of 18 adults and three children, and everything was delicious. They sat us all together and looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Lovely pub and fantastic food. Thank you.

The carvery at the Malt House was delicious and great value. Lovely staff, so helpful. I’d definitely eat there again.

The staff were my favourite part of my stay at The Malt House. Everyone was warm and kind, and they went out of their way to make me comfortable travelling alone. I was there for a wedding at Berkeley Castle, which was an easy walk away. The hotel and location were both great, my room was very generously sized, and breakfast was delicious.
