I’ve stayed in lots of hotels around the UK for contract work, and the Travelodge in Sunbury ranks right at the top. Marta Martina and the rest of the staff are professional and very courteous. They had everything on hand that you might need. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

The room was clean, but the shower rail was rusty and getting the temperature right was a faff. It kept going cold, and I had to ask for a hairdryer. Key cards also kept failing. Breakfast felt like a rip off: overcooked, and I had to ask for items to be refilled. The poor night worker had to cover the bar, reception, and the night menu too. The pizzas were hot and nice, though. This room was booked for us, but I’d choose Premier Inn next time.

The vending machine took my money without giving me any snacks, and staff were no help. They told me to call the number on the machine, but it was out of hours. They didn’t even check whether it was working, so the same thing could keep happening to other people. Their attitude of not caring because it wasn’t their problem really lowered my opinion of the place.

Affordable, clean, and comfortable, so it’s a good fit if you’re on a tight budget. The Wi-Fi was shaky, especially when coordinating multiple devices.
