Cuttle Bridge Inn Hotel

The receptionist was very nice when we arrived, but that was about the only good part of the stay. We were met by a 16th birthday party with excessively loud music that carried up to my third-floor room until 1 a.m. The partygoers were drunk and smoking so much cannabis that the whole hotel smelled of it. My bed was rock solid, and the bathroom was tiny, dirty, and rusty in places. I was also charged an extra 10 for parking, which wasn't disclosed when I booked through booking.com. I was genuinely disappointed in every part of the stay. Should've gone to Premier Inn.

The corridors were warm on the walk to the room, but that was the one plus. The mattress was the worst I've ever felt, with every spring noticeable. The sheet didn't fit, and after I tried to adjust it, I saw the state of the mattress. The dated room needs cleaning, and the carpet felt so grubby I kept my shoes on. Cold air came in around the double-glazed window in copious amounts, so the radiator was blasting. Residents also have to pay for parking. Wouldn't recommend.

The staff were lovely, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. The room felt very tired, and the carpet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in decades and felt awful underfoot. The walls were paper thin, so my partner struggled to sleep with all the noise from nearby rooms. The bed was uncomfortable, and the hidden 10 pound parking charge was the biggest joke. Honestly, I wouldn't stay again.

Don't do it! Filthy cups and grubby door touch points, and the room needed a repaint and a proper clean. The carpet felt dirty enough that I wiped my feet on the bed covers before getting in. There was a gap in the window, so we got more road noise and the room was freezing. The heater didn't work, and I spent the night feeling itchy. Worst hotel I've stayed in.
