We booked because we were going to an event nearby. Vicky gave us a friendly welcome. The old building is put to good use and has a homely feel, though it’s a little tired. Our twin room had plenty of space, was spotlessly clean, and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was okay, but the shower shape wasn’t ideal for someone 6ft tall. Breakfast was excellent, tasty and well cooked. We accidentally left a shift behind, and Vicky called to arrange collection or postage. By the time we picked it up, she’d already washed it. Very convenient and easy to reach, with genuinely warm hospitality.

The rooms were fresh and clean, and Vicki couldn’t have been more accommodating when I arrived late for my business trip. The place is quaint, friendly and quiet. Breakfast was lush, with a good variety. It was my first time in the Midlands, and this place has set a high bar for friendliness and hospitality. Would highly recommend.

The owner cooked a first rate breakfast. My room was spotless, warm and very comfortable, with a good en suite and a shower attachment over the bath. There were nice towels and toiletries, plus a kettle, tea, coffee, milk, TV, hair dryer and even a small sewing kit. As an elderly woman travelling alone, I felt safe and secure throughout. A great place to stay.

After lots of family members stayed here over a weekend, I can confidently say it’s a fantastic guest house. Everything was clean, warm and efficient, and the owners were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. We’d recommend staying here 100%.
