That mushroom and nut roast was lovely, and the chips were some of the best I've had in ages. We stopped in on the off chance after visiting Anglesey abbey and had a wonderful home-cooked lunch from the £10 special menu. Everything was homemade. I'd happily go back, especially for the Wednesday surf and turf or Thursday pie. Thoroughly recommend.

We had an amazing breakfast and evening meal, and the staff were friendly and helpful with prompt service. The room was very nice, with amenities you'd expect only in a large plush hotel. It's also a good base for getting around the area. I'd use this quality hostelry again when I'm nearby.

I've been quite a few times and never had a bad meal. The food is excellent and presented beautifully. I'm not usually one for sweets, but I tried the sticky toffee pudding on my last visit. Oh my, you must try it. A lovely, friendly village pub well worth a visit.

I've eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. Alex is a very accomplished chef, and the plates are beautifully presented. The homemade pies are delicious, the Sunday roast is superb, and every fish dish I've had has been truly to die for. The staff are really friendly and attentive, especially Lisa and Elaine. We are so lucky to have this great pub on our doorstep. If you live in the village or nearby, or are just passing through, it's well worth a stop.
