Great Danes Country Inn

We spent a very relaxing, stress-free long weekend here and will definitely be back. It’s a quiet retreat with spacious, very clean rooms, and the shower was amazing, with lots of hot water. The food was excellent and room service was available. Carole and Roger were extremely professional, and nothing was too much trouble, which is hard to find these days. The hotel is dog friendly, so we brought our boys. We stayed in the beautifully decorated forge, where the dogs had an enclosed garden. There are walks nearby, a big green in front that’s ideal for a game of ball, and a kids’ playground not far away. Hunstanton or Wells are also not far from the coast. A continental breakfast, included in the room charge, was left in a box for us, packed with loads of goodies to eat in our room. A cooked breakfast was available for an extra charge.

My Wife and I came up for a wedding and stayed just one night. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The room and bathroom were very spacious, and the T tray was well stocked, including decaf tea and coffee. We had a nightcap and a chat with the friendly owners after the wedding. We prefer not to eat meat and have a more plant-based breakfast, so they provided oat milk and plant-based butter too. We’d definitely stay again. Thank you x

Such a lovely, clean place with a homely feel. This was my second stay and I was well looked after again. The food is superb, and Roger is always helpful. Highly recommend booking if you’re in the area.

We had to cut our stay short because of illness, but we're already thinking about coming back. It's a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, so the place is wonderfully quiet. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and tidy, and the bed was really comfortable. The owner was friendly and the bar had plenty to choose from. You can't drink the tap water in the room, but they leave enough bottled water for making drinks. Continental breakfast is included, while a cooked full English costs extra.
