After a nearby hotel made a mistake with my reservation, I booked here at the very last minute. The friendly staff quickly found me a room. It was clean, warm and well placed for exploring Swaffham. Since it was a Wednesday in February, the kitchen shut quite early, at 6pm, but there were plenty of takeaway choices nearby.

We only stopped in for one drink, and it was a nice visit. The place is clearly popular with locals, and it’s dog friendly too. Great for visiting Swaffham, with the car park right opposite and two hours of free parking.

We stayed a couple of nights in May 2025 and found it absolutely perfect. The beds were comfortable, the room spotless, and the staff very nice and helpful. The location is good too, close to bus stops and shops. Nothing bad to say!

The welcome was really warm, and the food was lovely, with generous portions and plenty of fresh veg cooked just right. They have Murphys on tap. Must visit again.

The burger I tried from the specials board, with bacon, cheese and mushroom, was one of the best ten I've ever had. The grooved chips were great too, almost halfway between chips and crisps, and the salad was lovely. I spend a fair amount of time staying in hotels, and this place's food beats a lot of hotel restaurants. There's a good range of alcohol-free options, handy if you're driving or on the wagon. Kirsty, the lady behind the bar, was lovely and helpful. The food here is incredible, and I highly recommend it.
