We had a great stay with friends, taking over the whole building. The shaded space out back was lovely for eating outside, whether breakfast, lunch or supper. The loft rooms felt a bit hot, though we were there during a heatwave. It's on a hillside, with quite a few steps to the front door. The town is lovely, and there was a market on Saturday. They're repaving and replanting the Esplanade area, and it'll look fantastic when finished. Oyster House Hotel and Mermaid were both good places to eat.

I brought my two granddaughters, aged 8 and 10, for a stay last month and they loved it. The house is gorgeous, the people are lovely, the service is great and nothing felt like too much trouble. They were especially kind to the girls. Our family room had all we could want, with good fittings, furnishings and bed linen. Breakfast was well cooked, with plenty of choice and good-quality food. My eight-year-old loved the pancakes with strawberries, chocolate and cream. I plan to return with the girls. They keep talking about Carwyn, Sarah and their gorgeous little boys, so I have no choice! Can't wait. Mrs T M Green.

This beautiful B&B is in a great location, and the host couple made us feel so welcome. They clearly put care into the details and have lovely taste. There were freshly baked little cakes waiting when we arrived, plus fresh milk, and breakfast was great too. An absolute recommendation if you're staying in the area.

The homemade granola at breakfast was especially good, and I really appreciated the homemade cakes in the afternoon too. Our room was great and very clean. If I come back to the area, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
