We had a fabulous family party weekend at the hostel. The beach and sea views were fantastic, and the place was clean and spacious. There was plenty of outdoor room for champagne rounders, which was a lot of fun, and equipment for water sports was included for even more fun. Great location.

For our first YHA stay, we couldn't have asked for a better introduction. My 16-year-old son and I spent two nights here and had a fantastic time. The setting is beautiful, and our hosts were so friendly and helpful. The rooms, kitchen and living area were clean, and everyone was welcoming. Thank you 😊

The hostel is right on the beach, and was spotless and comfortable. Driving access is a little awkward: take the small track between the public car park on the left and the separate campsite entrance on the right. Park at the lane's end without blocking the coastguard route on the left, then walk a short way across the next field to reach the Hostel.

A few things to plan for: check-in starts at 17:00, and the front desk is shut before then. There isn't a restaurant or cafe attached, and the village has very few corner shops, so bring what you need, especially if you're walking. The upstairs toilet was tricky to flush, and some people gave up and left things behind. Still, we couldn't fault the place. The staff were friendly, the self-catering kitchen was excellent for a hostel this size, and the bright lounge and open Sky WiFi worked well, even on the terrace. We liked that most rooms were private twin rooms, probably the most common booking. Downstairs showers were clean and new. We've never been disappointed by a YHA, and this coastal location was perfect. How they find such amazing spots, we don't know!

Getting to the site by car was confusing. You need a permit to park by the track, which goes most of the way but not all of it, and the road has a no-entry sign. The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed. The beachside location was great. We booked the whole place for New Year's Eve and a few extra days. My room felt too warm at night, though I didn't properly check out the heating controls.
