The restaurant food and drinks were really good, and breakfast had plenty of choice, plus fresh coffee from the bean machines. Staff were so helpful that they gave us all the information without us having to ask. We stayed two nights while visiting stone henge, and this was one of the best spa hotels we've been to. The spa was nice and spacious. The pool was big, though only 1.2m deep throughout. I think they're closing at the end of the month, which is such a shame because we'd love to come back. If you're thinking about visiting before they close, do it, you won't regret it.

The facilities are hard to beat: there's a gym, weights room, pool, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna, plus a lounge where you can relax with food and a drink, with TVs and a bar. The hotel sits in peaceful surroundings on a large field. Bedrooms are a good size, with a bath and large sofa if you want them, and a big TV. The food isn't amazing, I have to admit, but for the price and the amount you get, it's good enough by my standards. I live in Bath, an upmarket city, and have visited all the good hotels there to check them out. Still, I travel to Swindon for this place because it's by far the best value hotel I've found anywhere. I've been back around 7 times and can't see myself stopping unless I have to. Friendly staff and a great place to retreat, treat and recharge. Personally, I love it here. Highly recommended! 👍😁

We expected a romantic 2-night stay, but left after one night because this didn't feel like a 4-star hotel in facilities, atmosphere or service. The room we moved to was an improvement, though still shabby and dingy. The first room had cobwebs and no telephone or ironing board, so we were offered a replacement. It was odd that they advertised 24-hour room service while putting guests in rooms where phones were 'under maintenance'. In the new room, water pressure and temperature were unreliable, and the toilet was hard to flush. We came all that way, a 2-hour trip, so tried to give the place a chance. The bar service was nice, but at dinner there was a hair on my partner's plate. Yuck. My food was average at best, though they did agree not to charge for his meal. The bed was comfortable, but dogs barking in other rooms made noise and it wasn't the romantic setting we'd hoped for. My partner tried several times to call room service that evening because he was starving, but nobody answered. Breakfast was average too. Staff were helpful overall and agreed to refund the bed and breakfast cost for our second night, but we weren't comfortable staying, so we cut the trip short. It was nothing like the 4-star experience promised, and we wouldn't return.

We had such a good bank holiday weekend that we added a third night, when we'd originally planned to stay for 2. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful, and it was in a great spot for everything we wanted to do. Good value, too. Our twin room was clean and a good size. The food was spot-on, especially breakfast, and I really enjoyed the brilliant pool and gym facilities. Thanks to everyone there. We'll definitely be back soon.
