I haven't stayed here, but Gavin helped me when my train was cancelled and I had a parking problem. He was so kind, and I really appreciate him sorting things out for me. Thanks again!

The beer was very good, and the toilets were clean. I only stopped in for a quick pint while waiting for the train, so I can't comment on the rooms. It's right opposite the station.

I stopped by for a bit after the Swindon v Bromley game a few weeks back and was glad I did. Really nice place, and the service was A1. Thanks!

We had a few drinks here before catching our train. Mark was a lovely host, serving us with a smile and such a positive attitude. Friendly atmosphere, perfect pints, and a lovely bar. We'll visit again. Thank you!

I had an hour to kill between trains at Swindon Railway Station yesterday afternoon, so I went to the beer garden with my dog. When I tried to buy a pint, the barman immediately told me dogs weren't allowed, not even in the garden at the back. My dog is part of my family and well behaved, so if he's not welcome, neither am I. I crossed the road to Queens Tap, where we were welcomed straight away. The Timothy Taylors Landlord was just what I wanted, and the garden had water bowls for dogs. They even offered me a poo bag, though I always carry plenty as a responsible dog owner. Many pubs have welcomed dogs for years, and now plenty of bakeries, restaurants and even upmarket accommodation do too. All John Lewis Department stores welcome furry friends as well. Great Western was empty at the time, while Queens Tap had plenty of customers. That says enough to me. I'm not after compensation. Even if Great Western offered me £1000, I wouldn't go back, even if it were the last bar in Swindon.
