Blorenge House

Good value, clean, and welcoming, and I'd stay again. Breakfast is early and inflexible, though; on holiday I'd like to be able to eat later than 9am. Our room's shower was also awful, leaking and draining badly.

The garden and outdoor pool looked lovely, though I didn't get to try them. I had a comfortable, well equipped room that seemed to have been refurbished recently. Breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

A lovely breakfast to set you up for the day, with friendly staff and rooms that were clean and comfortable. A great place to stay.

The staff were warm and welcoming, the room was spacious, and I enjoyed my stay. The location is great if you want to leave the car parked and explore town, or have a few drinks without needing a taxi back. The old house has its quirks, though. The toilet door gets blocked, and it keeps flushing unless you adjust it. The two beds pushed together were at slightly different heights, the remote was missing the battery cover, and one key opens both your room and the front door, so you have to open every door. At breakfast, the toaster and cereals were in the hallway even though people eat in the breakfast room. Toast came with only jam and marmalade, and the sausage tasted cheap. I noticed a few other things too, but none of it should put you off visiting.
