The facilities were lovely and beautifully clean, with everything you need, except Wi-Fi. We had none for the whole week. Hopefully it'll be working by the time you visit. But older reviews mention the same problem, so I'm not convinced it was really just down that week, as we were told.

The food was delicious, and the wine too. I haven't stayed in the rooms, so I can't rate those. If you're nearby, it's well worth seeking this place out.

The lodge was beautiful, really modern and clean, with all the mod cons. From outside, it reminded me of the lodges in Dirty Dancing. My daughter was getting married, so we stayed there the night before. She and the groom stayed on afterwards.

The outside areas were the worst part, filthy and neglected. The BBQ was rusty, cobwebs covered the tables and chairs, old leaves were piled up, and the benches and decking looked tatty. There was no Wi-Fi at all during our stay, and it's a shame the bistro was closed. The lodges are definitely not luxury. The furniture is showing wear, some mattresses are uncomfortable and need replacing, and although the lodges were reasonably clean, there was dust under the beds and in other spots. Sadly, with the owners trying to sell, it feels like everything has gone downhill.

We brought our little dog along for the adventures since our lodge was dog friendly. It was a great base for our Devon trip, in a beautiful location. The lodge was spacious, comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed for a self-catering stay.
