Clairmont Guest House

We were made to feel very welcome at the clairmont, and had a fabulous two-night stay while I attended a convention. My husband and daughter were able to spend the day relaxing. The room was well kept, with really comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was excellent and had everything we needed, and breakfast was very good with freshly brewed coffee. Thank you for a perfect stay. I'd highly recommend it. xx

Eileen was a perfect host during our week at this lovely Guest House. Breakfast was excellent, with locally sourced produce, and our comfortable, well-equipped room had complimentary bottled water and fresh milk. We also had a lovely view of The Wrekin from the window.

The location made it easy to explore the surrounding area, and Eileen was full of helpful local knowledge. She suggested a restaurant, booked us a table and taxi, and had leaflets and maps available. Breakfast was a treat, with local butcher's sausages, thick Bacon, farm eggs, coffee, juice, yogurt, fresh and dried fruit, and toast with plenty of jams and marmalades. Our room was spotless and warm, with an extremely comfortable bed, a huge walk-in shower, and lots of wardrobe and drawer space. The Victorian building has original features and lovely gardens. There were thoughtful extras everywhere: toiletries and a sewing kit, a shoe cleaning mit, bottled water in our fridge, a safe, hot drinks including hot chocolate, a dressing gown, and a gift box of toiletries to take away. My in-laws loved their large, grand room, where they could relax at the writing desk or in the armchair. A beautiful guesthouse, and one of Shropshire's hidden gems. I hope I can return one day.

I've stayed at Clairmont many times and it keeps delivering. The rooms are warm and comfortable, with quality bed linen and a superb hospitality tray, and it's a great base for visiting the surrounding area.
