Housekeepers cottage sits in lovely grounds at Meeson Hall. We met Mark, who was very welcoming, told us about the house's history and showed us around. The homemade bread and cake were a lovely bonus, and we had a lovely stay.

We spent time in the tranquil gardens and wandered along the lanes from the house through beautiful countryside. Both nights were a pleasure, with an amazing choice of exquisitely served food at breakfast and dinner. The three-course meal in the wonderful dining room was delicious throughout. Adrian and Mark greeted us warmly at the door of their magnificent home, then showed us around and shared its history. Our fabulous Empire room had every detail considered, combining luxury, comfort and style. For a luxurious night or weekend in magical surroundings with two wonderful hosts, Meeson Hall is the place to go. Debbi & Richard

The seventeenth-century building and its well-kept grounds make for a distinctive stay, and my wife and I enjoyed every moment. We really didn't want to leave. The cleanliness, decor, comfort, food, service and hospitality were the best I've experienced. Our hosts, Adrian and Mark, couldn't do enough for us. If you're after an elegant, peaceful and quiet getaway, you won't be disappointed. I don't usually leave reviews, but this hotel deserves one.

Adrian and Mark, the proud owners, made us feel very welcome in this peaceful part of Shropshire. The Housekeeper's Cottage is attached to the Hall and overlooks the gardens. It's charming, tastefully decorated and self-contained, just right for a quiet getaway.

We stayed in a cottage in the grounds for a week, and it wasn't nearly long enough. The hotel and holiday lets are run by two of the friendliest guys you could meet. From the warm welcome when we arrived to treating us like friends all week, they seemed just as sorry to see us go as we were to leave. If you love a lovely atmosphere and lovely people, you must stay here. Get booked up!
