I've stayed here regularly, so I've seen a lot of the hotel and how it's run over the years. This time I spent two nights in room 710. It was quiet, clean and comfortable, and everything worked. Downstairs had a friendly atmosphere and catered for everything you need. The restaurant food was great value, and the lady from Hong Kong who looked after us was a real asset. I think her name was Sharn. She was friendly, professional and gave amazing service, so well done to her. My one quibble was being charged £12 for parking for the two nights, which should have been made clearer on the booking. That disgruntled me at first, but I talked it over with reception and was happy after she explained. The location couldn't be better, close to the shopping centre, retail parks, train station and motorway. I absolutely recommend the hotel and can't wait to book more nights. It's convenient, comfortable and great value for us.

Shannix is a big part of why I keep coming back. She’s so kind and attentive at evening dinner, and really makes you feel cared for. Helen is lovely at breakfast too, always friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the whole place feels welcoming. I stay here often and have a great experience every time. Highly recommend.

Yuen looked after us at dinner again, and she was just as delightful and attentive as the last time she served us. The meal was superb. We come a couple of times a year, and the hotel is immaculate as usual. Our room was great, with a thoughtful bit of fruit for my birthday.

Helen at breakfast is a real star, always smiling and five-star service. The reception girls are great too. Some of the other breakfast staff don't seem very active and look more interested in their phones. The rooms are obviously dated, but the prices are great.

Yuen was very friendly, helpful and attentive during dinner, which was great service. This was our third visit, but now there's an extra charge for parking and the spa, both of which used to be included. With the value not as good now, we'll definitely look elsewhere in future years.
