I found the room clean, tidy and roomy, with tea and coffee, a TV, soft white towels, a comfy bed, nice pillows, bedside charging space and good lighting. There was only one chair, though, so a second guest would have to sit on the bed. The new room design hadn't reached my room yet, but reception said the update was due soon. The helpful desk staff got me checked in quickly. Guest parking is free, but first come, first served. The hotel is a single-storey building with an older Travelodge feel, set in a 24-hour Esso rest area. There’s a drive-through Burger 🍔 king, Subway 🥖, drive-through 🌟 Starbucks, Gregg's and a small Asda "on the move" express mini mart, so I could get coffee or an evening meal without heading into town. I stayed to explore Thame, including the old market town centre, Thame Museum and St Mary's church. Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees lived in Thame, not far from the church. After my walk, I stopped at the "Six Bells", a 16th-Century pub, for a rest and some nice Fuller's beers 🍺 🍻 😁. I stayed one Sunday night, paid £24.99 😊, then checked out on Monday and visited Aylesbury's old market centre before heading back to London. I thought it was a nice base for Thame, Oxford and maybe Bicester shopping village. Hope this helps if you're planning to explore the area. Keep exploring Google maps, you never know what you may find! Thanks, "H" 😎

I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to warn people about room 7 in particular. I booked one night for a wedding, using the room from 10.30 until 9.30 the next morning. I didn't notice anything until I got home, when my wife pointed out bites all over my arms. A week later they're still itching like mad. I think the bed bugs had me for breakfast, lunch and dinner while I was there. I saw another review describing the same problem. Avoid this place like the plague, appropriate, especially room 7.

With fuel, an ASDA shop and Burger King close by, the location works well if you're arriving by car. I enjoyed my stay, the staff were helpful and efficient, and the rooms were a good standard. I'll probably come back in a few months.

The hallways smelled disgusting, and there was mould in the bathroom, which wasn't clean. I also got covered in bed bug bites. Terrible stay, I'd never stay at a Travelodge again.

The room was clean and tidy, but the bed was very hard. The bathroom looked outdated and could have been cleaner. This is definitely at the lower end of the hotel market.
