We've stayed here several times while visiting family near Bridlington, and the earlier visits were always enjoyable. This time, though, our breakfast table was cleared while we were still eating. We'd just gone back to the buffet for the second part of our continental breakfast when the same staff member who had welcomed us and taken our payments cleared it. It may seem trivial to many, but to me it showed a lack of attention and made guests feel unimportant and unwelcome. We had a Premier Plus room, which was good, but not as pleasant as the renovated standard rooms in the same hotel. Both breakfast choices are overpriced, and so is the Table Table menu. That's why we haven't eaten there, since it costs too much for what it is.

The welcome is always warm, and the local staff are so friendly. The rooms are lovely and breakfast is great. What more do you need for a stay?

Apart from two awkward moments, we’ve had a great time at this hotel on both visits. On the first, there was a circus next door. We decided not to complain because we thought the child might have autism. On our second stay, I went out for a smoke at 4am and stood about 4m from the door, since the smoking area was flooded by a broken drainpipe. The night porter reminded me to move.

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant staff were lovely too. My beer arrived at room temperature, but when I mentioned it, they replaced it for free.

Everything felt cosy and comfortable. The breakfast wasn't really for me, though. The bacon and other items were too dry from being oven cooked or grilled, and we had to ask for more to be brought out. Also, if the windows can't be opened, it'd be good if the air con could go below 19c.
