Dinner with friends was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly at the bar and once we were seated, and I couldn't fault the food. The Kromeski was full of flavour and a good size. Then I tried the Mars bar cheesecake and was blown away. It’s easily the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. I would’ve ordered another if I hadn’t been full. I’ll definitely be back.

A fantastic country pub, with a cosy, friendly atmosphere and great service. We were staying nearby and picked up dinner from the main menu to take away. We stopped for a drink while collecting it.

The staff asked if I wanted a restaurant table, and they let me check in a little early. I’d booked an overnight stay while visiting friends. My room was clean and tidy, a lovely size and a good temperature. I also had a couple of good beers in the bar, and breakfast was great.

I needed somewhere for the night while my car was at a specialist in Thirsk, and found King's Arms through Booking.com. What a joy of a place. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was great, the bed really comfortable, and the walk-in rain shower was lovely. The bar was great too. I didn't have dinner, but the full English breakfast was very nice. Thanks, I'll definitely be back in September for a couple of nights.
