Premier Inn Thurso

The staff made this the best Premier Inn I’ve stayed in, and I’ve used the chain for years. Everyone was friendly, upbeat and keen to help. They went out of their way over my son’s dietary needs, which reassured him and helped keep him safe. The hotel itself seems fairly new, and it’s clean and laid out well. We had a very happy, impressive stay.

Demi, Fiona and Emma the chef were wonderful at breakfast. They were especially lovely with my daughter, and made us feel so welcome. We stayed five nights over the festive period, and our room was also cleaned and refreshed during that time. It was immaculate when we arrived. A bit more clothes storage would’ve helped in the family room, but we managed. Check-in was easy with the self-service option when we arrived around 9pm. It was a great experience for a very reasonable price, and I’d happily come back.

Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was good too, though we did have to wait to be served. It was straightforward food with no issues, and the staff were friendly. The room was spotless and well arranged, with everything working, including the AC. The shower was a proper one rather than over a bath, though I understand that’s how the larger rooms are. It’s a fairly new hotel, neat inside, with automated check-in and plenty of parking. A welcome change after some less consistent stays at older Premier Inns in Warrington, Falkirk and Aberdeen. Newer sites seem to avoid the problems I’ve had at older ones.

Fiona made my birthday visit feel so comfortable and welcoming. She didn’t know me or have met me before, but still went the extra mile with a birthday card and chocolates. It made my day. The service was fantastic throughout, and the company should be proud of its staff. I’d highly recommend a visit here.
