The Friday night atmosphere was great, and the meal was excellent. Breakfast was just as good, served efficiently by the friendly young woman who had looked after us at dinner. We had our two dogs with us, and they were welcome in the breakfast room too. The hotel is clearly popular with locals, which is always a good sign. The owner and staff were helpful and worked together brilliantly, even with how busy the place was. Our room was lovely, with a great view across the water. We stayed one September evening and had a really lovely time. Would recommend.

We had the beautiful front dining room to ourselves, with those stunning views, for a special birthday evening with my loved ones. Irene helped make it such a special occasion. The service was friendly and the attention to everything was impeccable. Our gluten free and vegetarian choices were delicious. We’re already planning to come back very soon xx

The landlady made us laugh and was really helpful while we were in the area that week. We were seven for dinner, and everyone enjoyed both the food and service. The prawn cocktail, steak pie and fish and chips were all great. With its lovely views and nice pub and restaurant, it’s a great place to spend an evening.

I only wish we’d booked more than one night. The menu has real range, and the ingredients are good quality. I had scallops free-dived from the Loch, a slow-roasted shank with lentils, then a gorgeous lemon tart. Every dish was exceptional. I loved the Kames, 10/10.

Still thinking about the flavours from that meal, my taste buds are on fire! The setting was lovely, and the service was so friendly. Food, service and setting were all exceptional. It was the best meal we’ve had in years. Thanks for such a memorable evening!
