The bed felt clean and fresh, and the towels were fresh too. After I called to say I’d arrived, someone answered the door quickly. The woman showed me around and was very polite. The rest of the room needed cleaning. There was grime near the tap, liquid marks on the desk, and crumbs and dirt on the side table. The booking said toiletries were included, but there weren’t any, and there were no tea or coffee sachets either. A crack at the bottom of the shower let water onto the floor. I woke up several times because people kept coming and going and slamming doors all night. Someone upstairs was stomping around too. I didn’t contact the owner about that, and it eventually stopped, but I still slept badly.

Mrs Azeezat was a lovely host in Birmingham, and the Airbnb felt like a home away from home. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, with fresh linens, toiletries, and a kitchen stocked with coffee and snacks. She also made Nigerian food easy to get through her restaurant, Glorious Catering. She was quick to reply to my questions before and during the stay, gave me detailed check-in instructions, and suggested places to eat and visit. I took an Uber to pick up the key. She personally welcomed me, showed me around, and was available to help with questions about the area. Her hospitality made the whole stay feel easy and memorable. I’d happily return and would recommend her Airbnb to anyone visiting.

The location was quiet, and the station was only a ten-minute walk away, which made getting into Birmingham by train handy. I’d booked a stay after a gig, but couldn’t get in. Priceline sent me the wrong key safe code, and I had no contact details, so I ended up driving home at midnight. Brilliant.

It was peaceful even though the place is close to the road. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and I felt at home. The linen was clean, and there were towels in the bathroom.

My family spent nearly a month in Madam Azeezat’s apartment and felt at home the whole time, without any stress. She’s humble and tolerant, and if you want a comfortable place where you can settle in, she’s one of the best options. We really enjoyed our stay.
