Huntsham Court

There are several options for holding your ceremony, either indoors or in the gardens when the weather allows. This is a very good wedding venue, with beautiful grounds and accommodation. The drive there needs care, as the road is very narrow and you could meet agricultural or horse related traffic.

We had the best wedding weekend at Huntsham Court. Being able to shape the weekend around what we wanted was perfect, and there was room for so many friends and family to stay on site. Friday was fish and chips, ice cream, and garden games, then came the big day on Saturday. Jennifer, our wedding planner, was incredible, and the staff supporting us all weekend were amazing. Dry hire gave us lots of freedom to choose our food, drink, and atmosphere. We’re so glad we picked the venue. Quite a few guests told us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to.

Jennifer Crabb looked after us from booking through to leaving the morning after, helping us with the planning and even answering last minute questions the day before. During the weekend she worked tirelessly so we didn’t have to worry, and the rest of the team were warm, friendly, and helpful, with a real passion for making the wedding special. Huntsham Court was our dream venue for a cosy winter wedding. We loved the wood panelled walls, open fires, furniture, decorations, and all the little details. Our guests found it magical. Downstairs, the different rooms meant people could chat quietly while the dancefloor filled up next door. The bedrooms were glorious, spacious, and flexible, so everyone who wanted a room had one set up for them. It was an unforgettable weekend full of happy memories.

Our only regret was not staying until Monday. My friend and I shared our 50th birthday party at Huntsham Court, and it was unforgettable. Everyone seemed to agree it was the best party they’d been to. The house is beautiful, rustic, and large enough for a weekend with over 100 guests. Downstairs worked brilliantly for entertaining, with a cosy, comfortable bar, dining room, sitting room, library, and great hall. Within reason, the rooms can be changed to suit what you need. The bedrooms are roomy, comfortable, and each has its own style. We used the great hall for the welcome night, then had the band and DJ play there the next evening. We chose the full frills service, and the Huntsham team welcomed guests, moved furniture, looked after the children, and made sure we could just enjoy ourselves. Everyone was friendly and helpful. A special mention to our event planner Jennifer Crabb, who was essential to making the party work so well. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything had been thought through. The caterers, Milkshed, were a delight to work with and provided incredible food and impeccable service. You can simply hire the house, which would be amazing on its own, or choose to have more support. We’re glad we chose the latter. Thanks to the team. Maybe we’ll return once we’ve recovered from the party.
