Honestly, this was the worst hospitality experience I've ever had, and I'm disappointed to be writing such a poor review. The manager was very rude to me and my husband and had a bad attitude. The food was soggy, and some of the chips were still cold inside. The quality was awful. The bedroom was a mess too, with dust everywhere, cobwebs in almost every corner, and crumbs on a floor that clearly hadn't been vacuumed in a while. I saw the good reviews and thought it would be better, but I was wrong. I wouldn't recommend going.

There’s plenty of space inside, a pool table, and a big outdoor area at the back with shelter and tables. The place is nicely decorated, and the staff are really friendly, with reasonable prices too. The Caribbean menu cooked by the lovely Wilf is amazing and a must-try if you're stopping for a drink. Great pub!

It's a lovely, quiet village location and the rooms are a decent size for a good price. Customer service was outstanding, and we loved our morning chats with Carol, who was absolutely lovely and took care of everything we needed. The breakfasts were excellent too. It's a great base for travelling around Cornwall.

On my first visit, I came for a meal and had the chicken kebab. The chunks were huge, maybe a bit too much chicken, but the food was amazing and I'd definitely recommend eating here. I can't wait for the roasts to start. A friend stayed overnight and said the room was lovely and they'd stay again. 😁😁👍

At £99 a night for single occupancy, this is seriously overpriced. The room was pretty basic, some of the decor outside the bedrooms looked tired, and breakfast was adequate at best. We were kept waiting for a perfunctory welcome. Seeing a “business opportunity” sign outside a hotel doesn't inspire confidence, and the stay bore that out. The four-star rating is as hard to believe as some of the reviews. Two stars would be generous.
