We were comfortable in this beautifully fitted-out cottage, and it was spotlessly clean. Everything seemed to have been thought of, including a lovely welcome pack with cream tea. It’s quiet, only a few minutes’ walk from Cockington village and the Drum Inn, and about a five-to-ten-minute drive to central Torquay and Paignton.

We’ve now stayed at Cockington Cottages three times with Paula and Leon. Mallock Cottage is in a peaceful, picturesque setting and works perfectly as a base for exploring Torquay, Brixham, Dartmouth, and beyond. It’s well equipped, nicely decorated, and very comfortable, with spacious bedrooms. The new kitchen is lovely, and the sun deck is a great place to relax if the weather cooperates. After a long journey, the milk in the fridge and homemade scone, jam, and cream are a welcome treat. The quiet location is second to none in my opinion, though bustling Torquay is within walking distance for most. I’d definitely recommend it.

Cockington village is a lovely, peaceful setting, and the walk to the seafront and into Torquay is pleasant and easy, with local amenities and entertainment within reach. The accommodation at Cockington Cottages is outstanding: Paula and Leon have made it a stylish, comfortable home from home and thought of everything. After a long journey, we especially appreciated the welcome pack of scones, tea, coffee, and breakfast for the first morning. Booking was easy, and Paula and Leon explained the arrival details clearly. I’d recommend Cockington Cottages without hesitation. Thank you both.

We left our car in the drive for most of the week and used the excellent local bus service. Magnolia Cottage is peaceful but still close to the major attractions, right near the centre of Cockington Village. The living area was a good size, and the bedroom was large and comfortable. Paula had left a lovely welcome pack with fresh scones, jam, cream, and flowers. We stayed for a week, from 4th to 11th June, and would love to come back.

I’ve had many happy holidays in Cockington with Paula and Leon. The cottages are comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well equipped, in a peaceful, picturesque spot that’s ideal for exploring South Devon. Paula and Leon make a real effort to welcome everyone and are attentive to guests’ needs. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
