Linden House

Carole took time to make everyone feel at home and explained the covid requirements clearly, so we felt very safe in the property. The whole house is extremely well maintained, and our room was clean, cosy, and lovely. Breakfast was first class. Mike and Carol are wonderful hosts who have put a lot into the property and their business. We had a relaxing stay and felt well looked after. We’d have no hesitation about staying again. Sue & Gez

It was a joy to be close to the sea, and Linden house is beautiful. Carole and Mike were warm and very friendly. Breakfast was tasty, with plenty of choice. We were their first visitors after the latest lockdown, on May 17th 2021, just to be clear, as who knows what next week will bring! Thanks for a pleasant stay, even with the wet and windy weather. Carole and Mike gave me a memorable, relaxing stay and did everything they could to make my first Torquay holiday enjoyable. Mike suggested a day trip to Brixham and Berry’s Head, with beautiful coastal views over Torbay and a lovely meal in the harbour. Their hospitality was caring and professional, and I felt at home from the moment I walked into Linden House. The property was immaculate, quaint and charming outside, and lovingly finished with class and modern touches inside. I stayed in the spacious Redgate room on the second floor. The bed was so comfortable it felt like falling asleep on a cloud, and I may have overslept a few times. The newly refurbished restroom was spotless and stocked with complimentary toiletries. Cleanliness was a 10 out of 10. Carole offered a delicious range of breakfast options every morning. I chose the Full English each time, and it never disappointed: eggs, bacon, beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, and fresh fruit. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Linden House to anyone visiting Torquay, and I’ll definitely return.

There’s a large, comfortable lounge and a pleasant garden where you can relax, as well as a lovely room. Off-street parking is available. The location is convenient for the station and close to Torre Abbey and its park, with a pleasant walk from there to the seafront. The owners have thought of everything you might need, and keep the place to a very high standard. It’s welcoming and comfortable, with an excellent breakfast and lots of choice.
