Sunningdale Apartments

The owners were welcoming. We spent the first night in the top apartment, then moved downstairs to one with a sea view. The lower apartment wasn't private with the curtain open, and its single thin curtain let in the morning sun. Blinds would help. The rooms felt very dated, with old carpets in the main room, though the kitchen looked fairly new. The toilet is raised above a step, which could be a hazard for older people and wasn't comfortable for us. With more care and thought, these apartments could be a real top seller.

We've stayed in two of the apartments and loved both. They're spacious and very clean, and some have beautiful views. There's plenty to see and do nearby, while the place itself has a calm, relaxing feel. Sunningdale is such a lovely place to stay, and Zoe always makes you feel welcome. You won't want to go home!

After another hotel in Babbacombe let us down, Sunningdale found room for us at the last minute. The location is superb and parking is good. The rooms are a little dated, but there's nothing wrong with them, and they had all the facilities we needed for a comfortable night. Would recommend.

Zoe, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The self-catering apartment was lovely, clean and well equipped, with a sea view from every window. There's plenty of parking, and the location is perfect, right opposite the cliff railway. We'll be back.
