The Briarfields

We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed it. The place is spotless, our bedroom was comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the varied breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked just right. Charlie and Julie Anne were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Torre Abbey is a five-minute walk and the seafront about ten. My one disappointment? Charlie never showed me how to make the perfect poached egg. 🤣 Thanks again for a very agreeable stay.

We were made to feel thoroughly spoilt by Charlie and Julie-Ann, and the warm welcome starts as soon as you step inside Briarsfield. Our room was great, with a lovely shower and luxurious fluffy towels. Breakfast was a full 10 out of 10, especially the black pudding, and we were completely full afterwards. Such good value, and it beats the main chain hotel experience. We'll be back to Briarsfield soon. (Ade & Chelle) Worth every penny.

I was in town for a family event and stayed just one night. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked, and the host gave me a lovely welcome. It's a great spot for a morning walk down the seafront. Breakfast is well worth trying, especially the black pudding, which may be the best I've tasted. I even ordered some online for home. Definitely worth every penny, and I'd highly recommend staying here.

The daily little extras were a lovely touch, one day an unexpected Danish, another a cupcake. The rooms were comfortable too, but Charlie and Julie-Anne's cheerful hospitality is what puts this B&B at the top of our list. They're always happy to help. Hospitality students ought to spend time here learning the finer points of the job. Breakfast was fantastic, with several options. I always chose the full English, though after I joked with Scottish Charlie that haggis would make it a full Scottish, there was haggis the next morning. The bacon and Cumberland sausage were better than those at the 5* Westin London City, where we stayed just days earlier. They'll hear about that too! We'll be back on our next visit. Please don't book every room before we get here 😄.
