The views across the bay are breathtaking, and every part of our stay at the Imperial Hotel in Torquay felt memorable. Kelly and Ndey at reception were welcoming, attentive and effortlessly helpful. Housekeeping kept everything spotless and greeted us with friendly smiles, while the bar staff were charming and provided excellent service. Every member of staff showed real warmth, kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend the Imperial Hotel, where we felt genuinely cared for.

We spent 15 nights here after being upgraded to a suite with what must be the most stunning sea views across the English Riviera. The varied breakfast was very good, and dining with those views was a lovely way to start the day. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional, and a real credit to the owner. The dining team took particular care of my elderly mother, going out of their way to make her comfortable and smile. We appreciated that so much. It was a truly magical stay, and I'd have no hesitation recommending The Imperial Hotel to anyone visiting Torquay.

The swimming pool was clean, and we had a spacious room with a beautiful view. Breakfast was five-star, and the breakfast manager didn't charge for our daughter's meal. The building has a Victorian style, so it is an old property, as you'd expect from its appearance. I don't know why people keep underrating this hotel.

The sea-view lunch was a perfect way to end the day. I received a spa package as a gift and really recommend it. The staff were lovely and helpful, the place was clean, and everything we needed was included. The facial was amazing, and I left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Thank you.

I was at the Imperial for a conference and stayed two nights. It's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting, and the view was still amazing even though I couldn't access the balcony off my room, the one thing I'd change. My room was great, with an incredibly comfortable bed and a bathroom I loved. Breakfast and my lunch at the bar were both very enjoyable, and all the staff I met were pleasant and helpful.
