Tor Park Hotel is ideally placed for exploring Torquay’s seafront, harbour, and local attractions, while still being in a peaceful spot away from the busiest areas. We had a fantastic stay in beautiful Torquay and would definitely return. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The bed was especially comfortable, so we slept well after exploring the area. The hotel has a lovely classic charm alongside modern comforts. Breakfast was freshly prepared with plenty of choice, and the food exceeded expectations. Restaurant service was as friendly and professional as reception. From arrival, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, and check-in was smooth and efficient. We felt at home straight away. Excellent service, comfortable rooms, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I liked the proper retro feel, even if some might call it a bit dated. My room had high ceilings and a lovely view. The shower was hot with good pressure, the bed was comfy, and the price was cheap. Friendly staff too. I’d definitely stay here again.

Most of the staff were really polite and helpful, but the manager was rude. He kept lying to me about the price and whether I’d get a clean room, wasting my time. I’ve never seen a hotel so dirty and disgusting. It should be investigated. I’d avoid it and book somewhere clean with honest staff!

The smell hit us first: cannabis, damp, stale smoke, and other unpleasant odors. It felt unsafe too, with people hanging around the entrance, so I explained that I wasn't going to stay. They still kept my money and refused a refund, so I'm taking it further on principle. This is mostly a hostel, despite some rooms being advertised as hotel rooms. Don't be fooled by what looks like a reasonable hotel price, and don't expect a clean, comfortable hotel. Everyone deserves somewhere warm and safe, but I was bitterly disappointed. Avoid booking here.
